About Me

I love the written word.

When I read a well-written book, passage, phrase, or sentence I get a rush of adrenaline and that excited feeling in my stomach like I am on my own mini roller coaster ride of fun. The power of words never ceases to amaze me. I am one of those people who read the dictionary and stylebooks for fun, and I can’t seem to stop myself from copyediting my friends’ casual emails. Thankfully I have great, understanding friends who ignore this annoying habit of mine.

I was a reporter who jumped the fence to public relations and marketing, so I consider myself well rounded and capable of handling writing and editing that run the gamut from personal to professional.

I am married and mom to our son Sam, who is three years old. We have two dogs, two cats, a whole mess of fish, and a neighborhood dove that is currently guarding her nest outside of our front door.

I was born and raised in New Jersey, and have lived in Florida and Washington, DC. My family and I have called Chesapeake, VA home for the past three years and our favorite place to spend the day is the Norfolk Botanical Gardens.
